Finally Getting Fit

Where’s the fit?

There has not been a whole lot of fitness going on here.

But of course with every new year there are new resolutions and new promises to one’s self.

I am no different.

I make new promises every year and most I do not keep.

This year… only 1 promise.

Get rid of the wheat.

I did pretty awesome last summer when I was wheat free.   My indigestion disappeared, my arthritis pain lessened, my skin cleared up.

And then I went to visit my Momma and all that hard work went straight in the shitter.  Literally!

How do you tell your Momma that you aren’t going to eat her hand made chicken and dumplings?  You don’t.  You hope just hope like hell that when vacation is over and you’re back in the routine of your life that you can get back on the plan.

It didn’t happen.  Now my belly is protruding, my heartburn and indigestion has returned and I have cystic acne like some little 14 year old going through puberty.

I know it won’t be easy but I really feel that this is best for me.

I know that people are going to tell me that it’s not healthy to go without a whole food group.  I don’t think it’s healthy for me to keep eating that stuff.

My only goal. Can I do it? I’ll damn sure give it a try.
