Spring In2 Action

Wow! 2 posts in one week. How do you stand it?

This week has been busy busybusybusy and full of stuff.

First off and most important:

I did not gain this week! 180.5 and holding. I’ll take it.  I don’t have a pic of the scale this week though.

Push-ups: 22.  Not bad because I haven’t done any of the push-ups for the last 2 weeks!

I have felt like junk since the time changed.  That just about put me out and then the pollen started…  Lawl, if it’s not one thing then it’s something else.

On Saturday my dance troupe was scheduled to perform at the local Cherry Blossom Festival.  It started raining about 10 minutes before our set. The sound guy shut everything down and started covering everything up. I really can’t blame him though. You can’t lose thousands and thousands of dollars worth of equipment because of rain!

After about 30 minutes he said he’s start the music. We told to him to just let it play and we’d make it work.  We had 50 minutes of music. Troupe, then students, then troupe, then solo, then students, then solo, then duo, then troupe, then trio, then troupe…. all non-stop with only seconds to get on and off and a wet stage.

As soon as we finished our set… the tornado sirens went off. LOL.  All the people that had been watching us from under the covered dining tent ran like fleas.  I have never seen so many people scatter so fast.   We weren’t in that crowd. We were busy gathering props, getting our music from the sound guy, tying up our wet skirts… Minutes later it started to hail. So what do we do, take a quick (15 minute) trip through the drive-thru for fried chicken and soda while the rain and  sometimes hail comes pouring down and the sirens go off.  We got home about 35 minutes later and IT HAD NOT EVEN RAINED.  Coach had gone and bought a new lawn mower and cut the grass.  Pollen was every where and the ground was as dry as a bone! Crazyness!

Sunday we were supposed to go back for another set of dance. As soon as I pulled into my BFFs driveway to pick her up the weather alert sounds on the radio. We get the phone call that the festival has shut down early and everything is canceled. Nothing left to do but to go flash mob the local mall.

And I thank all the practice for that choreography with my NO Gain this week.
